Remembering The Good Old Days

I took my early years for granted. In elementary school, I couldn't wait for middle school and in middle school, I couldn't wait for high school. Now, I'm graduating in a few weeks, and all I want is to go back in time. Life was simple. I didn't have to worry about paying for college and growing apart from my friends. In a few months, I'm going to be just another broke college kid whose closest friends are hours away, and that's kind of scary to think about. I miss the games we played at recess and the playdates my mom set up for me. Thinking about all the possibilities my future holds is overwhelming. I am mad at my younger self for wishing the years away. My mom always told me to just enjoy my childhood because before I'd even know it those days would be behind me, and now they are. So I guess the biggest thing I've learned is to always listen to my mother (laughing crying face). Maybe if I had, I would be playing kickball at recess instead of reminisc...

Weekend Update

My weekend was jam-packed with stuff. Over the span of Friday and Saturday, I had three water polo games which were pretty exhausting. I scored in two of them, and I was kicked out of the third. The referees were being kind of ridiculous and in my opinion, I don't think I should have been rolled. After my two games on Saturday, I drove out to my Aunt and Uncle's house in West Bloomfield to celebrate my cousin's first communion. The food was fantastic and my sister and I sat on the beach for a while which was relaxing. Later that night, I was asked to prom which was exciting! It was a complete surprise and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Prior to him asking me, I had told him if he didn't do a good job I would say no as a joke, but I think he took it seriously because he did a much better job this time compared to when he asked me to homecoming last year. He spelled out Prom in candles on my porch and had a poster with fairy lights! Sunday was another busy day...
